Dimora Burrafato 1: Historic Seafront Residence

Dimora Burrafato, known by locals as “La Casa Rossa”, is a historic summer residence once owned by Princess Pignatelli, located directly on the seafront of Caronia. The property consists of three independent units, each with a private entrance, a balcony overlooking the sea, a veranda with garden, Wi-Fi, a washing machine and direct access to the beach.
The accommodation offered, Dimora Burrafato 1, has been recently restored, preserving the original charm and character of the historic residence. The unit is completely independent and includes a spacious kitchen with a living area featuring two single beds, a double bedroom and a private bathroom. From the bedroom, guests can access a balcony directly overlooking the sea, where the sound of the waves and the sea breeze create a relaxing atmosphere. All rooms are air-conditioned, with heating available through the air conditioning system during winter.
Outside, there is a traditional and ancient courtyard — a quiet, sheltered space perfect for relaxing, dining outdoors or working remotely in a peaceful and authentic setting.
The train station is only 400 metres from the house and can be easily reached on foot. For exploring Sicily and its inland areas, we recommend using a car. Street parking is available, and a private parking space can be arranged upon request.
The residence is located in Caronia Marina, a small fishing village on the Tyrrhenian coast. Here, the rhythm of life still follows ancient traditions: Ape-cars travel through the streets selling fresh fish, fruit and local products, while small shops offer traditional Sicilian specialities. The seafront promenade is ideal for sunset walks, and the clear waters invite swimming and snorkelling.
The area, far from mass tourism, is perfect for those who wish to discover an authentic and genuine Sicily. Nearby, you will find quiet beaches and hiking trails winding through olive groves, citrus orchards and prickly pear fields. From Caronia Marina, it is easy to reach the main attractions of the northern coast, including Cefalù, Capo d’Orlando, Tindari and the Aeolian Islands via the nearby ports.
